The xx has a sort of lulling quality to their sound. There is something about the soft, laid back and somewhat minimalistic nature of their music that makes me want to curl up on my bed for a good long nap. Though, I mean this all in the best way possible. Who doesn’t like naps, right? The xx has been getting a lot of buzz lately, and there is no reason they shouldn’t be. Hopefully they’ll be coming around to the Bay Area sometime. They strike me as a band to see in a small and intimate setting. Their debut album, XX, is coming out in the middle of this month.
